Wow. I'm really baffled by the negative reviews on here. This was hands down the best stay I've ever had in Las Vegas. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. For me, I wanted a swank stay in a quiet hotel with eco-friendly policies. Voila, the Vdara! Our room was luxe, I really appreciated all the "green" touches, and the non-smoking thing ruled. It was such a relief to walk in and have the hotel smell sweet. Plus, it attracted a very different clientele with no smoking and no casino. It was much more high-end and reserved. Never once was I woken up by some drunken 21 year olds "wooing" their way down the hall. Woo! And we loved the eat-in kitchen. It was so nice to be able to keep and heat up leftovers. Next time we might even bring a French press and make our own coffee. All in all, an awesome stay in Las Vegas and I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to hotels.

You are required to valet your car at the Vdara Hotel. While were were there for three days recently, our car was broken into while in the valet garage. Valuables were taken and our car was severely damaged. The hotel couldn't have cared less. The staff is rude and we are sorry we tried something new. We have never had this kind of trouble or treatment at the Bellagio or Venetian. Awful, awful hotel.

I booked a Vdara Suite for 4 nights based on photos on their internet and responses from hotel staff. Well let me tell you how misleading both were. The internet photos of the Vdara Suite show windows all around and the Bellagio and other hotels outside. The truth is the suite I got overlooked I-15, might have well been in Phoenix. I asked the desk for a strip view room and they moved me to a room half the size with few windows and a view of Bellagio. I asked where the room shown on the internet was...no response other than to say the full window Vdara Suite with a strip view will cost $* more a night. I tried City Center to support it, but they did everything they could to make my trip a huge dissapointment. I'll never go back because of the faulty advertising for a $* Suite that you find out overlooks the freeway...bad job MGM.

I recently stayed at the Vdara 06/15 - 06/18. Overall I would have to say the hotel is okay, it is definitely not the great place I was hoping for. Our first impression was great, nice lobby, and a wonderful smell I will never forget. Check in was fairly quick, but would have been quicker if the person in front of me would not have had so many questions (not Vdaras fault though) I booked a "Premium View Room" in which I was disappointed with. We had a view on the 18th floor of the extremely small pool and the back of the Aria. Not my Idea of a great view. My wife used the spa, she got the "French Lavender Massage" she seemed to enjoy it quite well. The small bar in the lobby was quiet but not a real destination if you're looking for fun. My biggest complaints are in the technical areas. First off we did not have slippers as stated we would. My wife called and told them that we did not have slippers and would like some. They brought one pair of slippers. So I called and asked for another pair for myself. I then searched every nook and cranny of the room for the remote for the television. Nope. I called and requested a remote for the television. I got one shortly thereafter but... the batteries were dead. So I called for another, by this time me and the housekeeping staff are on first name basis, I was starting to feel like a jerk for calling so much. I'm not typically a complainer, but I at least wanted a working remote. In the morning I wanted a cup of coffee, but the coffee maker did not work. I was disappointed with our stay.
