We hust came back from Vegas where we stayed at The Four Queens. This was our second time to stay there. The rooms have been renovated since our last visit. We visited Las Vegas for my birthday. The hotel was vety accomodating and upgraded us to a nicer room. We were also given some good perks.The staff was extremely friendly. I have no complaints about my visit. We had tickets for quotPhantom of the Operaquot which was playing on the strip at the Venetian. It cost us * for the cab there and back. That was a bit disconcertingbut since we have traveled between downtown and the strip beforeit was not a big surprise to us. I think we should have investigated public transit a bit more. I highly reccomend Four Queens Hotel and Casino if you are staying downtown. Its cleansafefriendly the slots are pretty goodand the food at Magnolias is excellent. If you have been leery of staying downtownplease reconsider and stay at this fine establishment.

This place is as outdated as they come. The carpet in my room was black with dirt. The hallways smelled as if you were in a gym. The clerk told me the rooms were all renuvated, she should be fired. Both the sink and the bathtub would not drain. I took a quick shower and has 8 " of water when I was done. This was my last stay at the Four Queens.

Our overall stay here was very good. Check-in was fast and friendly. Super location right on Fremont Steet Experience. Easy walking to other casinos especially when hot in July. Very good food at Margaritas. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day.

The best of staying here is the location. Our room was in North tower right over the light canopy so make sure you stay up high or at the other tower. One biggest complaint is I left some clothes in a drawer and called within 12 hours and reported and did not get anywhere and suppose housekeeping kept these items. I was told to call back day after day even though they said they reported to security but after the 7th Downtown is the place to stay you can find $*AND $* blackjack tables in several casinos down there and it's a more comfortable feeling and not so spread out. Did the strip for a day but preferred downtown much better, plus slots are looser and people are friendlier. You can take the ACE bus to strip, pay the $* for the 24 hour pass. Takes you anywhere on strip you want to go. DO NOT USE TAXI.. we paid $* to take us from airport to downtown whenwe could have used shuttle bus for $*. check with hotel on the shuttle first.
