I was suprised with the hotel the rooms were updated although the lobby and casino were musty but overall it was a good experience. I did not eat at their restaurants so cant complain. Ii is a little far from the main hotels on the strip so you have to walk a long distance before you get to a hotel or the Fashion Mall. You can get the bus and ride that till you get to the hotel or attraction you want to go see.

Me and my wife stood here on 7/26-7/28 and had a good experience. Was kind of worried because of some of the neg, reviews we read on this site. The service was good from the valet to check out time. Check in took a while because people were still checking out. You can check in your luggage and try and check in later. We got an upgrade without even asking to a signature room on the 56th.floor(monoco tower) was "great". Location was no big deal, your in the middle of the strip. Took 10-15min.to get to downtown or to MGM. Just keep in mind that we went during the week and it wasn't that hectic. On the weekends, big conventions, or holidays its a madhouse. The hotel staff deals with tons of people all day with different personalities so there patience can wear thin. Kindness goes a long way, its a 2-way street. Will definently return to the Riviera.

Tough times in Vegas. We had a power outage at 3PM. At 7 PM there was still no power & the outside temp was still around 100 degrees F. At that time I asked for a room that had power and did receive an upgrade room with air conditioning & power. People that arrive that afternoon were given rooms that had no power.
