We enjoyed our stay at the LV Hilton. It's off the strip but not by much. There is a monorail service that will take you directly to 80 percent of the strip. Monorail prices are *$ for a single ride, *$ for a 24hr. pass, and *$ for a 3 day pass. As busy as the Vegas traffic is it is kinda nice to just park and forget about it. Parking was FREE. The hotel staff was great, as well as the room. The pool may be a bit small for a hotel that size, especially in 107 degrees it gets a little crowded. Contains great dining options.

The las vegas hilton is one of las vegas,s oldest and dearest hotels in las vegas. as a paramedic for many years in las veegas i rememmber the horrific fir back in the early 80's. staying here as a local while having some work done on my home i found it very refreshing that this hotel has been re-built and has maintained its 4 and 5 star rating all this time . the rooms were very nice with a great view. the only thing i didnt like were the shower heads, nobody likes a small stream of water they like good pressure and good body coverage

This Hotel is not on the strip. It is walking distance to the Las Vegas Convention Center. You can take the monorail from the hotel to the strip, but it's $* per one way ride. I think you can also get a 3 day monorail pass for $*. Seems expensive to me, so I usually drive a car instead. The room I stayed in was very good. I got a reasonable rate, and it was clean and good sized, although slightly dated. The hotel has covered parking close by, and there are lots of good restaurants inside. The thing I like best about this hotel is there are NO BOGUS RESORT CHARGES. I've stayed in Vegas a lot and there is nothing worse than booking a room online for $*, paying in full, and then finding out they have a $* "resort fee" per day upon checking out. That's why they always want your credit card in case you charge "incidentals" during your stay. They really want it so they can add the $* per day bogus charges after you've paid in full already. For the $* you spend, you could get a much better room somewhere else. In summary, I like this hotel a lot, because I'm usually at the Convention Center. I hate to stay where they charge Bogus fees, because I feel like they are being dishonest and I don't want reward their bad behavior.

I recently stayed at the LV Hilton and was fairly disappointed with the way things went. The room was clean and most everything was fine, however upon checking in I payed $40 extra per night for the club membership upgrade and felt that it was not worth it at all. Half of the things that were promised on the upgrade list were not in order until I filed numerous complaints to the front desk. The thing that was most frustrating however was that even after talking to the hotel manager after I did not receive a newspaper for the third straight day, (part of the upgrade), on the fourth and final morning it was still not there. I would give the LV Hilton two thumbs down for a lack of attention to details, especially ones people have paid for.

Hotel accomodations were very good. Location was very convenient to monorail - especially if you want to stay in "the strip" area. Connecting to a bus line to get downtown was reasonable, too. Did not like having to pay ($* per day) for internet access. Fitness room is fee-based, too. Walking to different parts of the hotel can be time consuming, as the hotel is very large. Upper floors have great views of the valley.
